WORLD-CLASS ENGINEERING
Elon Musk was born on 28 June 1971 in the capital city of South Africa, Pretoria. His father, Errol Musk, was a South African electromechanical engineer, pilot and sailor. Musk lived mostly with his father in the suburbs of Pretoria. As an avid reader, he soon developed an interest in computing and even taught himself computer programming at the age of 12. Musk attended Waterkloof House Preparatory School and later graduated from Pretoria Boys High School. Just before his 18th birthday he moved to Canada in June 1989. And so was born the entrepreneur behind Tesla, SpaceX, and who knows what else.
Why wait, you can also make it happen now.
You dream it, we make it.

CONCEPT-TO-COMPLETE ELECTRONICS SOLUTIONS
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
Converting ideas into real products
Globally in 2014, a whopping 2,68 million patents were registered worldwide of which 1,18 million were granted. Of those, only a very small fraction end up as successful and marketable products. What a waste.
We say, let's get to market in the shortest time, with the best innovative leap in technology, and at a globally competitive price.
We can do it. Ask the South African pioneers of inventions such as the Kreepy Krauly, CAT Scan, Pratley Putty, thin solar cells, Q20, and many more.
Time to market is critical. We can convert your ideas into real products using home-grown talent and skills.
EMC & SAFETY COMPLIANCE
Ready for the world market
In order to be globally competitive, products for export must comply with certain regulations regarding electro-magnetic compatibility and intrinsic safety.
Our engineers have hands-on local experience in getting products approved to international standards, and we can help you to reduce the pain associated with the whole process.
We can help you to meet compliance requirements by testing and certifying your electronics products for CE, UL, FCC, Safety, and ICASA approvals.
Expand your market potential by taking your products to Europe and the USA. We can help you get there.
PCB ENGINEERING
Schematic to PCB Design
Far from being a green breadboard for electronics hobbyists, the PCB is a fundamental part of every electronics product today. From simple gate remotes to complex space rockets, PCBs connect the dots and make sure that electronics parts can work together.
At EDA Technologies, we have vast experience in designing all types of PCBs. This includes high-speed, HDI, metal substrates, rigid-flex, RF, high power, and everything in-between.
We have implemented technologies such as buried capacitance, copper coins, impedance control, multi-level blind/buried vias, via-in-pad, and other leading technologies on PCBs.
SIMULATION & ANALYSIS
Test before you make
Today's advanced electronics often require simulation to test the circuitry before PCBs are manufactured.
We have access to mixed-mode schematic simulation tools based on the SPICE simulation model, as well as PCB signal integrity analysis tools for high-speed PCBs. The cost of simulation is often far less than the cost of a respin of a PCB to a new revision.
In addition, we have strong experience using the Altium PDN analysis tool. This allows us to accurately identify and resolve every IR drop, current density issue, and voltage drop as part of the board layout process.
